1931 Ford New Paint Job October 2017
Просмотров 6266 лет назад
After five years I thought it was time to repaint the 1931 Ford Model A. The Rustoleum spray paint was getting a might dull. So this time I used a 2 inch paint brush and a few quarts of Rustoleum paint, Hunter Green, Gloss Black, Safety Red, Gloss White. The last two colors were to repaint the tags. Looks very good from 10 ft! Not bad up close. Hey its a daily driver and hauler, Also tow my wel...

This is my home made ATV. I used parts for many sources, from cars, atv's and motor cycles. The master cylinder for the brakes is from a 1966 Ford Mustang, Brake calipers off a 2008 Suzuki 600 motor cycle. Engine is a Honda GX390 13 hp. All the metal was fabricated by myself and welded together with MIG and Stick welding. I did all the work myself in the back yard. The roof and dump bed I made ...

    Is that boat for a short shaft or long shaft outboard?

    • @TheIronshaper
      @TheIronshaper 2 года назад

      Originally you could buy it with either a long shaft or a short shaft. I found like many others that the short shaft transom would invite back wave intrusion into the boat. So when I restored it I raised the transom to long shaft height (17 in I think). The boat is built to use a 60 hp motor. But we are comfortable with a 30 hp. Two medium adults and it will plane very well, but and a third or more gear and it wants to plow through the water. Really nice boat , we use it in the back rivers of the Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis MD. One day my plan is to make the Mariner 30 hp engine look like a 60's model Evinrude or Johnson, and pull it to the water with our 53 chevy belair. Thanks for the email. Happy boating

    First time viewer, looks like you got your work cut out for you! Every big or small conclusion is very rewarding, and worth it. Been working on a 53 HT for about 3 months, on a day off a day. I’m retired so I get away with it. Then there’s the Finances, nothing’s cheap. All my Chrome is headed to “Chrome Wizard” in Tennessee, except Stainless. Made a bad video but plan another soon. Keep me up on what’s happening. Enjoy watching, help if I can. Look forward to another Video!

    How do I tell the difference between a t205 and a t102 with a wide front end?

    • @TheIronshaper
      @TheIronshaper 3 года назад

      Its been a while, but I think the 205 was just a 102 with the wide front. I used to know all this by heart, but sold all my panzers to a collector in Brunswick Md. I live not far from the Laurel factory. I wrote a lot of the history and worked with Jim (now diseased) ) on the history. Sorry I couldn't help any more than that. good luck with your Panzer. Walter

    I just picked up a 1950 Tiger PTD-6 this week that I plan to restore. It has the hood and dual rear tires as well as the solid rubber front wheels. I would be interested in how you replaced your front wheels as I'm looking into doing that myself.

    Panzer's are cool, built like a tank. This one looks better than new. I have the frame w/axle, grille shell and seat like this one. Also have two 1968, 1110 models that have the square hood and bench seat, if anyone is looking for a Panzer. The best one my Father bought new for $950.00 in 68, that was a lot of money then It still looks great, too nice to even restore. It has never been wet and is still setting in a heated garage. All it needs is the reverse band which is still available. He used it for over 20 years until the deck needed attention. I have an extra deck and a snow plow. The other 1110 is complete but needs painted and seat redone. I have a third one that I'm not sure of the year model but it is a square hooded Meteor which has the first ever hydro static transmission. It is in pieces but no engine or tires. Anyone interested in a rare (I think there were less than 6000 total) Panzer you can contact me @ jeff13t@embarqmail.com.
